I have embarked on a journey to the other side of the distance, both as a human being and as an artist. My paintings, my sculptures, my writings are the steps of the staircase in which I travel this journey. In this journey, I am enthralled by the question: How much of my reality is my imagination? I build walls and limitations to convince myself of the solidity and security of life. These walls are solid, like the walls of a house, or ethereal, like the walls of a belief system. But life is full of small signs which show me that life is not solid and secure. Such times as these are when I have glimpses of my world and myself dissolving into infinity. |
