I have embarked on a journey to the other side of the distance, both as a human being and as an artist. My paintings, my sculptures, my writings are the steps of the staircase in which I travel this journey. In this journey, I am enthralled by the question: How much of my reality is my imagination? I build walls and limitations to convince myself of the solidity and security of life. These walls are solid, like the walls of a house, or ethereal, like the walls of a belief system. But life is full of small signs which show me that life is not solid and secure. Such times as these are when I have glimpses of my world and myself dissolving into infinity.
This infinity is space. Space, both in this planet and in the universe at large, is where the journey becomes most interesting and inter-real. Space is where my reality and imagination have an orgasmic dance and create a chiaroscuro scene where my carefully constructed world is diffused and unclear. Then, either, I create a new reality or I lose myself in the scene... either way, the journey must continue.
