  • Grant-writer and consultant for Gallery E.G.G., Chicago.
  • Successful applications to Illinois Arts Council and Gaylord & Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, Illinois Arts Council.

1996-2001:

Grant-writer and consultant for Chicago area arts organizations including the Open Studio Project, Friends of the Arts, Figurative Art League. Obtained funding from Marshall Field's Project Imagine for art therapy programs for at-risk adolescents (obo Open Studio Project).

1997-2000:

Artists of Rogers Park, Chicago. Grant-writing, program development, fundraising for community arts organization. Curating, hanging group exhibits, maintaining mailing list and member records. Development Director from 9/98 to 1/00. Successful grant applications to Chicago Dept. of Cultural Affairs.

1995-98:

Grants Manager for Art Encounter, Evanston.Writing and researching grant proposals to provide interactive arts-education programing for underserved groups including senior citizens, blind/visually impaired, school children, at-risk youth and pregnant teenagers. Successful applications to Hulda & Maurice Rothschild Foundation (Winnetka), Marshall Field's Circle of Giving (Chicago),Putman Publishing (Chicago) and McDougal-Littel (Evanston).

2001: Openlands Project, Chicago,: Seven day workshop on the ecology and care of trees in an urban environment.

1999: NonProfit Financial Center, Chicago. Completed a six-day Financial Management Institute for directors of not-for-profit organizations.

1995: Art Encounter, Evanston (IL). Completed a six-day program in "Talking About Art", using Art Encounter's interactive discussion method.
