Friends Of The Arts is now offering associate memberships. For $30 a year you can take advantage of all these benefits and more: |

art seminar and salon - held quarterly, these pot luck seminars cover such topics as how to have your art shown, resume writing, the pros and cons of framing, how to get commission or teaching jobs as an artist, and more. Members are also encouraged to bring a recent piece of work for group criticism. |

slide file representation - is often asked by other galleries, organizations, cafe and restaurant to put them in touch with artists. Members with slides on file will be able to get first crack at these opportunities. |

put your work on display - Members get the opportunity to keep a piece of work for sale or display |

access to FOTA's reference materials - Find out what's happening in the local and international arts scene. FOTA subscribes to several magazines, gallery directories and keeps up to date information on many area museums and trends and happenings in the arts community. |

gallery hopping - with over 250 galleries in the Chicagoland area and openings every weekend, checking out new artists and scenes can be overwhelming. Join us on our fun, informal Friday outings. We can show you the different neighborhoods, galleries and introduce you to many of the artists and owners. |

priority standing - as a member you will get first notice for "call for artists" for all FOTA shows. A lot of these shows fill-up fast and have long waiting lists. This insures you of a better chance of being able to participate in shows which you find appropriate for your work. |
