Robert Klein Engler was born in Chicago. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana and the University of Chicago Divinity School. His books, including American Shadow and Child's Play are available from amazon.com. Headwaters/Hudson Press released his multipart poem, "The Accomplishment of Metaphor and the Necessity of Suffering (In the Modernist Style)," in chapbook form during the summer of 2004.
