Resume

My formal training has nothing to do directly with ceramics although I have found ceramics to be a perfect compliment to other activities in my life. In the past I have been employed by various companies as a programmer/analyst and as a PC consultant on my own since 1992. As the years progress, I find myself spending more and more time in my ceramic studio.

I also run a small business outfitting and guiding wilderness canoe trips to Canada where my degree in Biology from Kalamazoo College helps me to instill an understanding of the complexity of the ecology and biology of the area in people from all over the US and Europe that accompany me on these trips.

Since 1991, I have been producing about 1/3 of the electricity I use from solar panels on the roof of my house. I recently purchased more panels and a small wind turbine and hope to be able to disconnect my house from Com Ed in the not-too-distant future.
